Peace, Love and Kayaks

I want everyday to be a kayak day. I really think being out on the lake kayaking does something to my soul. I highly recommend it if you haven't ever tried kayaking before. It's amazing!

This is a pic of me from Saturday. I can't imagine a better way to celebrate V-Day than paddling on the lake in the sunshine with my valentine. Incredible. :-)

Christina Alguilera (of all people!) recorded a song that I heard yesterday at Watermark that was incredibly powerful. The woman who sang it in the service sang it with such sincerity and intensity that I got goose bumps. Please check it out!

Make New Friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold!

This weekend was all about Old Friends, New Friends, and all the friends in between!

My weekend started out with one of my oldest friends, Joni! I actually don't even rememeber when Joni and I met, but it was sometimes around age 2 or 3 years old and we've been friends ever since. Joni has been friends with me through so much-- those awkward middle school years, summers where we practically lived at each others houses, years of church camp and choir tours, graduations, crushes and heartaches, good times and bad times. She is one of those people that I know I will be friends with until I'm a little old lady.

I was really glad that Dan had the chance to meet Joni and Rand! What a fun night we had with the Heyes!

Saturday was all about New friends! One of the guys in Dan's small group got married this weekend in Childress, TX so we drove out there for his wedding and reception. It was a fun time to meet all of his buddies and their wives.

Just Call me Aunt SuSu

The two cutest little boys on the planet are Zach and JB Baker! I know I might seem a bit biased because they are my nephews, but seriously they are so incredibly cute!

Zach is 2 years old and is at such a FUN age! He loves cars, trucks, reading books, listening to music (as long as Mommy and Aunt Susu don't sing along), making animal noises and watching videos that have animals on them. He can kinda talk, although I rarely know what he is saying. But I can tell when he says "Su-Su" (which sometimes sounds like shoe-shoe. Close enough!)

JB is 2 months old (almost!) and is such a cute baby!! He loves to snuggle, eat, and sleep (seriously....this kid has a nice relaxing life!) But he also spends most of his days dreaming of the day that he can run and play with his big brother Zach! It won't be long!

Lately I've been able to stop by my sister Claire's house after work and play with the boys while they eat dinner and take a bath. I LOVE THEM!!!!
