Just Call me Aunt SuSu

The two cutest little boys on the planet are Zach and JB Baker! I know I might seem a bit biased because they are my nephews, but seriously they are so incredibly cute!

Zach is 2 years old and is at such a FUN age! He loves cars, trucks, reading books, listening to music (as long as Mommy and Aunt Susu don't sing along), making animal noises and watching videos that have animals on them. He can kinda talk, although I rarely know what he is saying. But I can tell when he says "Su-Su" (which sometimes sounds like shoe-shoe. Close enough!)

JB is 2 months old (almost!) and is such a cute baby!! He loves to snuggle, eat, and sleep (seriously....this kid has a nice relaxing life!) But he also spends most of his days dreaming of the day that he can run and play with his big brother Zach! It won't be long!

Lately I've been able to stop by my sister Claire's house after work and play with the boys while they eat dinner and take a bath. I LOVE THEM!!!!

Here are a few pics of the Baker Brothers! They're so cute!!!!

Isn't this Cute? (Round 1)

Welcome to my first edition of "Isn't this cute?" It will run as a weekly little list of things that I think are cute! Most of them are things that I would not spend my money on, but that doesn't mean I can't recognize their cuteness from afar!

I love you toast! How cute! And it's just in time for valentine's!!

Everyone needs a ceramic elephant, right?

I'm not sure why anyone needs these, but I think they're beautiful! You hang these globes from your trees with a tea light candle in them. Can't you just imagine these at a swanky summer patio party? And bonus points because they are made from all recycled glass, so you're loving the earth and being super stylish at the same time!

Look at these super cute vintage valentine's!

So feminine and so pretty! Too bad it's not in pink....peach is just not my color.

I'm sure there is a reason I need a monkey key cover!
Well that's all the cuteness I have for today! :-)

Give a Pint. Save a Life.

I want to encourage you to be a part of an organization that means a lot to me! That organization is Carter Blood Care, a non-profit organization that provides life-saving blood transfusions for patients in North Texas.

Some of you may know why Carter Blood Care means so much to me, but even if you don't I encourage you to give blood (if you can!) With all that is going on in our country, it seems like everyone is looking for a way to give back and reach out to others around them, but many people don't have the resources to be able to make financial donations. But donating blood is free!
Donating blood takes about 20 minutes, and is relatively painless. And your donation could save up to 3 lives! Think about that for a second--- you would be saving 3 lives! How cool!

So, get out there and donate some blood!

For information to find out if you are elligible to donate, go here.

A Happy Day!

I'm having a very happy day today, so I thought it would be fun to post some pictures that make me smile! Enjoy!

Who wouldn't want to wear a superman cape around town all day?

I'm going to pretend that's me in the kayak. Amazing!

There's nothing like a happy puppy to remind you that life is beautiful!
My fave photographer, Ann Wade Parrish, took this picture of this super cute baby!

Wouldn't you love to worship in this tiny little church? It's so cute!

Oh springtime! How I miss you so! I cannot wait for the end of winter!

Two to Tango

My soul is Latina. I've known this for some time, but it has really become evident lately.

Not only do I have a deep love and affection for salsa and all things mexican food, but I also love the spanish language. When I was learning spanish in middle school, I remember realizing that I could express myself easier in spanish than english. Although I only took a few years of spanish, a trip to Venenzuela my junior year of college further reinforced my love for the spanish language when I noticed I can explain my faith in Christ easier in spanish than in english (SABER vs CONOCER anyone?) But over the last month or so, any doubts in my mind about my inner Latina were put to rest when I discovered my new love--- Tango dancing!

Dan, and I met while salsa dancing and now I've joined him in one of his favorite hobbies by taking tango lessons with him. Eventhough I spend most of the hour and a half lesson tripping, falling, and attempting to stay on beat, I secretly like to pretend I am on Dancing with the Stars! It's so much fun! It's great exercise, it's a fun new skills, and it's a wonderful activity that Dan and I can do together!

So have I convinced you? Want to ignite your inner latina? Come to lessons with us Tuesday night at 7pm in Plano! (or you can go to the wednesday class in Dallas at 8pm, but we won't be there, so that's no fun!)

Ole!

I LOVE Roadtrips!

I love a good roadtrip! Don't get me wrong, when I'm going on vacation I would always choose flying over driving. It's quicker, less hassle, and it's even more green! But roadtrips are different. Their purpose is not just to get from point A to point B, because the driving portion is part of the fun!

This past weekend I took roadtrip that I've been meaning to take for a long time- a trip up to visit Hayley in Oklahoma City!! Hayley and I grew up together through church, but our friendship has grown and changed over the years. Honestly I think Hayley and I are closer now than we were when we lived in the same city (thankfully we’re both big phone talkers!) She is such an encouragement to me!

Dan and I left early Saturday morning and spent a fun-filled day with Cody and Hayley Bobay! Dan had never been to Oklahoma, so we went to see the Oklahoma City Bombing museum and a couple other touristy things and overall had such a fun time! Here are some pictures from our adventures in Oklahoma! Enjoy :-)

This is when we were lost in the middle of Oklahoma attempting to find the Bobays' house.

We went with Hayley and Cody to a soda shop, called Pop's, that had over 400 different types of soda! It was right off of Route 66 (yes, THE route 66). We chose a couple flavors of soda to try and had burgers for lunch at the soda shop.

Dan chose Ale8 a soda that is made in Kentucky and I chose a cute pink soda!

We stopped by Winstar on the way home and ended up winning $266! And we only put $1 in the slot machine! yay! :-)

Am I a spammer?

I have sent over 10,000 emails today to 10,000 people I don't know. Does that make me a spammer? I wonder how many people deleted my message.

Oh the joys of sales....gotta love it! :-)
