My thoughts on Bridesmaid Dresses

Bridesmaid dresses are stupid. No seriously, they're really stupid. I've been in a lot of weddings (9 weddings to be exact) and I've never worn any of those dresses again. No, no, I did not shorten them and wear them again (and yes, I did have brides swear I would do that! yeah right!) Even after spending $300-$400 on some of them, they were still just as terrible (no offense to any brides out there) So I'm having a really hard time finding any bridesmaids dresses I can imagine making my sisters and friends suffer through.

I'm a bride!

This has been the craziest week ever. I'm a bride! I'm a bride? I'm a BRIDE! I still just cannot believe it. I am planning my wedding---- the wedding I've been planning for the past 20 years when I saw Uncle Jesse marry Aunt Becky on Full House with Michelle as the flower girl! (dont tell me you didn't tape it on your VCR and watch it a million times like we did) I really just cannot believe that in one week so much can change. Last week I was sitting at my desk without a clue of what was to come. Just a girl with a wonderful boyfriend. One week later, I'm a bride! With a fiance--- a future husband! I cannot believe it! And that wedding I've been dreaming about for decades is slowly becoming a reality. We've got the church, the reception, the photographer, the cake bakery, the florist, the band booked, and a wedding dress ordered! I really cannot believe it!

So as I gaze lovingly at my newest piece of jewelry, I look forward to the next 5 months and 23 days (but who's counting?) with thankfulness and gratitude. What a wonderful God we serve!!

Getting Crafty: Spray Paint is my new fave

I've been getting really crafty lately while trying to decorate my new apartment! You'd be surprised what a little extra scrap of fabric, some pretty paper and a can of spray paint can do to help you decorate on a small budget! Just be careful of those paint fumes...I nearly passed out the other day from all my painting! Dan is going to help me hang pictures and curtains soon so I'll post some pictures of all my decorating projects. Lots of fun things for my cute new place!
